I was searching around the Forum for threads about why we love our Fords. Couldn't find a specific topic title, so I thought I'd start one.

It would be interesting to hear why folks chose their Fords - how long you've been driving them, have you stuck with the brand? Maybe you eventually fell out of love with them?! Maybe you're currently driving your first one?

Can I briefly start with my own experiences?

Well, I have owned Ford cars continuously since 1975! (With the addition of Citroen Berlingo's since around 2000 that I've had as second vehicles - been pleased with those as well).

I was born in Warley, Brentwood. Essex, within a mile of "HQ" so I guess they were somehow in my blood! When I was at school, many of my friends families worked at Fords. Some were management, and I remember loving the look of the top spec models on their driveways! Also as a curious schoolboy I used to visit the Ford Main Dealer showrooms regularly. The staff there were nice, and used to give me brochures and small posters. Thank you Hensman's!

At 18, I started driving lessons. BSM Romford, in a bright red Mk1 Escort! I LOVED it!

But that's enough from me for now. I'd like to continue soon with more memories and photos, if anyone's interested!
