New electrical faults after new battery and cluster repair

Featured Replies

So my 2005 Mk2 Ti VCT has thrown up a load of electrical faults, and the brake lights/indicators are playing up. Put a new battery in, drove car around the block, parked it on the drive. Took the cluster out, sent off for repairs, and re-installed. I checked the car with Forscan before the battery and cluster repairs, but not after installing the new battery/cluster.

My hunch is something has gone with the cluster repair. What would the next step be? Disconnect the battery too see if the issues vanish? I doubt deleting the codes with forscan will do much good, as there are obvious issues.

Hi,

Who did the cluster repair?

Checking with Forscan is still the next step. If you still have a load of U faults showing then that would suggest the cluster repair had gone wrong. It's also worth checking the GEM under the glovebox hasn't got damp while the car has been left parked up.
