Car detailing brushes.

Featured Replies

Looking for some good detailing brushes for all parts of car. So many on the market now and I know a lot of the cheap ones are known to cause swirls and scratches so wondering who on here uses detailing brushes and if they can recommend a set. Thanks.

Hej. What helped me was using several different brushes instead of one universal one. I use ultra-soft synthetic brushes for the plastic interior, black trim and around the screens, and slightly stiffer synthetic brushes only for the wheels, emblems and engine compartment. I would not use very stiff brushes on painted surfaces, as that is where scratches usually appear. Brands that generally have a good reputation are Detail Factory and Mothers, which offer a decent mid-range set. They are not the cheapest, but they are durable and do not scratch the surface when used correctly.

Me and the Son use cheapo brushes, nothing special with no high price tag the bristles are soft and won't scratch any such paintwork, last time he got some they was £3 for 3 different sizes, image is off ebay, these are £3.89p free post.

Thanks for the info. The plan is to get a multi set and use for different areas of car. Will check those brands out.

Those brushes look like what I'm after, i did consider one of the sets I've seen on Temu, I know there are mixed feeling about Temu but i have to say that some stuff i've bought from there is pretty good considering the price, (and some is utter crap) another option is the wife's make-up brushes, they are really nice and soft, just go for the "total denial" option when they ask "have you seen my make-up brush"😁

If you can't find what you're looking for, you should check out the Autodoc marketplace. I always find great products there when I'm searching for something specific
