What vehicle is this VV Carb from?

Featured Replies

We recently had a clearout at work. This carb was found under a bench.

Nobody had any idea where it came from or how long it had been there.

Working on vehicles isn't my employer's business, so someone must have bought it in for some reason.

It is marked 86HF KDA over Y06J over 5JD.

What vehicle is it from? Does anyone on here have any use for it?

Thanks for any info.

The only thing I can think of that would've had a VV carb and launched in 1986 is the Pinto Transit.

Nearly all passenger cars were fading out the VV by 86, the only car that still had it was Capri 1.6, but that died at the end of 86 anyway.

Thanks for the replies.

If a similar one got no bids on ebay it seems that it isn't sought after.

There can't be many Pinto Transits left now.
