Hi,

The lower section has tabs that slot into the rectangular clip section of the main bumper housing, if any of them arent straight they fold down and wont allow you to fully push in the lower trim. its easier to try and take the lower part off completely. straighten all the tabs, then refit.

you may find they want to curl back down, use a hair dryer to soften the plastic to bend them back into shape.

many thanks for the reply

how do i take it all off?

  • Solution

the bottom trim will be pushed on, and may have some 8mm screws along the bottom securing it to the undertray.

they may be rusty, in fact who am i kidding its a ford, they WILL be rusty.

then it just fulls off.

ok just so i understand

i need to undo some screws at the front bottom of the car then that part bumper will come out?

yes, also look in the bottom front corner of the wheel arch incase theres a screw there too.

I had to replace both sections on my mondeo as they were badly kerb rashed.

brilliant! i was going to ask about the screw on the wheel arch. that one is a star screw.

i only have 1 stand so i should be able to get to all the screws.

just asked my main bodyshop guy, sort of curious how much they would do the bumper for me, i just thought if its cheap enough then il get him to do it instead of me getting all my tools out.

he wanted only 10 pound! i thought to myself i am not going to miss a tenner so asked him to do it instead.
