Greetings fellow Ford owners!

I recently ran into a good offer regarding a used Focus Mk 4.5 ST Line - X that comes with a variety of different features, one of them being a panoramic roof which I'm currently having a hard time deciding on.

Now, under the configurator, Ford advertises the panoramic roof as a "solar reflective glass that keeps interior cool on hot days" but from what I've read about the panoramic roof on forums (tho not entirely clear what year the commenters had) is that it makes the car feel hot and stuffy with the smallest bit of sun on it, that its cold in winter, expensive to replace, there's also some noise issues etc.

So I would like to ask all of you Mk 4.5 owners that have panoramic roof on your cars to please tell me what its like, what pros and cons have you noticed using it.

My main passenger is going to be my dog and I'd hate for her to have a hard time in my car in summer (not concerned about winter, she's a sled dog after all!)

I like the panoramic roof, need to use the roof shade when very sunny, but I'd rather have it than not. It was said by some it reduces the headroom, but I'm over 6 foot and dont have any issues. You canl eave the roof slightly open if needed.

Do you feel like the car is more hot because of it or any louder?

I have the pan roof in my ST line X, and also a dog owner. Can’t say I’ve noticed the Focus getting any hotter than other cars I have previously owned, and last year’s hot & sunny summer was a pretty good test. I appreciate the extra light that the roof introduces, even with the sun blind across, and it’s useful to have when you want to rapidly vent & cool the car.

I have read that thread yeah but looks like its for a mk4? Not sure if they did anything different in regards of the roof in a mk 4.5 thats the reason i opened the thread for mk 4.5.

I Can't say ive had any issues with rattling with mine.

Hi have pan roof much better more light no noise one of the best options on the car 😁
