The U.S. automaker said the recall covers the 2021 through 2026 F-150, 2022-2026 F-250 SD, Lincoln Navigator, Expedition, Maverick along with some Ranger and E-Transit vehicles. When towing a trailer, a module may lose communication with the vehicle, potentially causing a loss of brake and turn signal lights, or a loss of brake function. Ford will update the vehicle software to address the issue.

Hundreds of thousands of Ford drivers are being warned to check their mailboxes. 

The car giant is recalling 412,774 Explorer SUVs across the US after discovering a suspension problem that could affect steering. Federal safety officials say a rear suspension part - known as a toe link - can crack and break. If that happens, drivers could struggle to steer properly, raising the risk of a crash. The recall covers 2017 to 2019 Ford Explorer models. Owners will receive notification letters in the coming weeks. Ford dealers will inspect the vehicles and replace the part free of charge.
