Couple of mk3 question, thermostat and oil leak

Featured Replies

Evening all,

Couple of quick questions re. my 2013 1.6tdci.

Firstly the last couple of days I've noticed the temperature needle wasn't getting up to half way on the guage, using the hidden menu the car is running at between 70 to 75 this is after a 20 mile journey so it should be warmed up, I'm assuming this is likely to be the thermostat, I'm also assuming as I can get a genuine stat and housing for £55 it's not worth bothering with an aftermarket part that's around £40?

Secondly I've an oil leak around the turbo inlet as shown,

I'm assuming there's a seal between the black plastic inlet and the silver housing of the turbo? Does anyone know the part number?

Thanks

Chris.

There's no separate seal on the parts catalogues. It looks like the end is rubberised but can't tell 100%.
