2023 st line x 155 brakes scraping

Featured Replies

Hi all

I've just picked up a 2023 ST Line x 155 with 13,800 miles.

The brakes work fine, but at low speed there is a scraping sound just as if the car has been sat for a while... which it has prob been sat at dealers, but i've driven it to work and back a couple of times now which is 20 miles each way, and it's still the same at low speed. The discs all round look a bit ridged to me (But i'm certainly no expert)

Does this sound normal for a Focus, or would you think it needs looking at ?

Give the brakes a good clearing off, from speed.

But ensure you are safe before you do it

With that much mileage the pads should not be worn.

You could have a stone in there though

If it still makes the noise after the clear off then you need to investigate
