warm start issue

Featured Replies

Hi all, I have been having intermitant problem with starting when I do a short journey say to the supermarket, I switch off and maybe twenty minutes later get in the car and try to start, it takes a few attemps befor starting. and then it will start fine for the rest of the day and this won't happen for another couple of weeks. I have in the last week cleaned the throttle body, replaced the MAP sensor and air filter and spark plugs and it runs lovely but I still have the warm start issue. Any suggestions Please.

Sounds like a temperature related issue or , as you have looked at, something sticking?
Is the coolant sensor/ambient sensor giving sensible readings?

thanks for your reply. Yes both temps are correct.

You may need a petrolhead, sorry... 😉
