“Engine service now” Service light issue

Featured Replies

Hi I’m just looking for some advice. I have a 2015 Ford Fiesta 1.5 TDCI that’s having an issue.

The Service light (spanner) keeps coming on at very random and sporadic times the past few weeks. The car feels perfectly fine and does not go into limp mode when the light is on. And the light disappears when car is turned off and on again .

Brought it to my mechanic, they scanned it and a message along the lines of “issue in flow” came up on it. They have changed the Mass airflow sensor, then the MAP sensor and finally chemically cleaned out the DPF as it was at 44% - which now is at around 4% and the light has come back on 3 times since. Brought it back to them and the scanned it again to see what codes were popping up and there is no history of codes popping up.

Both myself and the mechanics are scratching our heads. Just wondering if anyone has had this issue or any advice ? Thanks.
