Battery dying or something else?

Featured Replies

I own a Ford Fiesta Edge 2009.

On Wednesday i drove it fine for an hour, arrived home, all good. On Friday afternoon i go to start it up, turn the key and the electronics flash a bit, turn the key to start the ignition and nothing. On the third time of trying i got a splutter noise from the engine on startup. I left it and was going to call the garage on Monday. This morning i thought i'd try again, it worked completely fine, no flashing electronics and the engine started fine. So the question is, what part isn't working correctly?

Thanks

The ignition switch.

The ignition switch.

I did wonder, would it still be safe to drive?

I cannot say but once it has started, it should get you to where it needs to be repaired.
