Identifying number for replacement keys (just in case)

Hi everyone. When I got my 22 Focus 1.0 Ecoboost, there was no tag or label with either of the keys showing a number I could quoted in case I lost one and needed a spare or replacement.

I suppose I could quote the VIN number at a dealer, but does anyone know if the number can be acquired by any means, or if it is printed under the key blade when the case is open?

If I open the case, there are some numbers there ANATEL ID 07**8-**--***** & FoMoCo -DOUGA ***-******-** & DEALER No DA003****/**

Do any of those correspond to the key id?

    No. the best thing to do is either to keep the spare key in a safe place or have Ford programme up another at a cost of about 150 pounds. There is no other way, I'm afraid.
