Mk4.5 speed warning chime and direction indicator volumes

Featured Replies

I have a 2024 Mk4.5 Active estate. Love the car, but just a couple of minor niggles:

  1. Speed warning chime: very loud. But a lot softer for about an hour after the battery has been is saver mode (which is quite often as much discussed in other threads!). Though I can disable it on every trip, I wouldn't actually mind it if it were softer. Can't find anywhere to adjust the volume. Any ideas please?

  2. Direction indicator "clicking" sound: much too soft. Only really audible when car is stationary with no music on! Again, any ideas how to increase volume please?

Hi,

1: FORScan has to be able to deactivate these features

2: Can't be done I'm afraid, does the sound come out of the audio system or the back of the cluster?

Thanks Dave. Re: 2. The very soft direction indicator click comes from the cluster.

Thanks Dave. IMO a bit of a design fault. Sometimes if the indicator doesn't self cancel it could be left on in error because the sound is so low. Though of course the green arrows still show. Only happened a couple of times to me in the past year when indicating right when joining a carriageway from a slip road. Now I got into the habit of manually cancelling the indicator.
