Safe to charge battery whilst learning SYNC4?

Featured Replies

Each time I try to go through SYNC4 I end up with battery warnings. There is a lot to learn.

Is there any reason I shouldn't just put the battery charger on so I can spend a good uninterrupted 30mins investigating the options?

None whatever. You may already know this but in case you don't always connect the charger negative lead to a chassis earth point, not to the battery terminal. This ensures the BMS updates the SOC.

Thanks. Thankfully I had already read the earthing issue which isn't a given to a novice of these more complex machines.

Even with a 3A charge the battery barely maintained its charged state which I understand is about right especially if the ignition is on.
