Dashboard helllllp ?!?

Featured Replies

Hi all, I have a mk1 1.4 lx focus . It stood for just shy of 12 months. The " lion " 063 size battery had given up the ghost so swopped it for a yuasa 075 size and it spark up as good as gold first turn of the key.

The problem was the dash started flashing like a Christmas tree andxan occasionally chime was thrown in for good measure.

It initially alternated between flashing 00000 and the correct mileage of 71 k . That's now stopped and all I get is the 00000. I have tried getting it into the dash test mode , however it won't do it.

I have disconnected the battery cleaned the earth points and refitted the battery and it's still the same .

Can anyone throw me a life line as to what this maybe ?

Thanks in advance

Stu
