Featured Replies

hi guys

i was just wondering if i take the bottom bumper off, will it be easy to access the pipe thats joined the air con compressor?

he toldme there is a leak on the pipe near the compressor

my mechanic had a look and he doesnt really know if he would need to take the bumper off or just the bottom bumper.

many thanks guys :)

Mine was pre-facelift but removed the whole bumper to do this job. Might be able to do it with just the front undertray removed, but not just the bumper splitter.

Still not quite sure what you mean by bottom bumper. The black strip pictured is just a bit of trim (called a splitter), removing that isn't easy and it won't give enough room to reach the pipe.

The options are either remove whole bumper as pictured (really easy on the floor, 10 mins max).

Or leave the bumper on and remove the front undertray if doing it up on a garage ramp. That is what I did to replace the whole condenser, but was very awkward on a driveway.

sorry yes, it is the splitter.

i think he will try taking the undertray off as he has those machinery that can lift the car really high so should be easy enough for him.
