Turbo waste gate failure

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, had a fiesta 20 plate, not sure of the mark, new to fords, sorry.

Had it a week, strange sounds from the engine, went back to dealer, said it was the turbo waste gate cleaned it up was great, for a week, went back in, now needs new turbo, told i can run it untill the warranty approves a new one, im just asking can I, or will it damage the engine more, any insight is greatly received, thay can't fit it in for at least a few weeks

Thanks for any replies in advance

As long as you have explicit permission (in writing) from warranty and dealer that you can continue and ANY extra damage is covered so it won't come back to you?
OR they could supply you with a courtesy car OR return the vehicle and get a different one OR refund your money so you can go elsewhere (they won't want to do most of that but you need real security, just in case?) OR ...Wot others say...

Won't cause any further damage. It'll just be a bit slower if you're losing some boost pressure.
