Expert Care Spring Bundle

Featured Replies

Hi everyone (first post hopefully they will get better ;))

Has anyone seen this promotion. It implies you get a service, mot and a free car care kit for £249. Apparently you do not the MOT is extra.

Has anyone else fallen for this or am I the only one.

Hi,

Are you sure you booked the right one? There are two promotions currently. One to get a free cleaning kit with any service. The other to get an essential service, MOT and cleaning kit for £249.

The online booking system is allowing me to order the MOT version for £249.

Hi Tom, yes I booked the essential service MOT with the free kit and was charged £300 bucks for the pleasure. But I cannot get anyone to confirm this is correct I am waiting for dealer to reply and CRC will not answer after telling me to go to dealer first. I attached the one I booked on my first post.

If you booked online, you should have some sort of confirmation showing that it includes MOT? Email ideally? How does that compare to the invoice you've got from the actual dealership?

Just tried this myself.

Firstly, it said from £249 (small car or from £279 (large car).

MoT was plus £54.85 in both cases.

MOT is still shown as a separate option on the list I get, but there's no need to tick it.

The MOT & service bundle alone is £249 for me, as shown on the screenshot above. Does yours show the exact same wording when selected?

Thats odd - just done it again and now get this, still showing separate MoT option but no price this time. Rather confusing!

That's what I booked, but nobody will admit it is either included or not

That wording (and what I got on my second attempt) does imply MoT is included but that "from" could be their getout I suppose.

I've never booked service online so not had this sort of issue, either booking on the phone or (even better) popping in and having a chat in person.

That says 'price on request'. It doesn't confirm the price. Did you get a separate invoice from the dealership afterwards? (Do they still provide paper invoices?)

Mine does - but they're nearly as old-fashioned as me!

The only quote I had was what it said online " from £249" I had nothing from dealer.

The only invoice I had was the final one with the £303 to pay.

I have had an interesting conversation with the woman who rings up the days after the work is done to check if all is OK! (there is probably a name for the department but I cannot think of it) I explained the problem, I even got her to do a search for the promotions on google and she said "O" that is confusing!

She said she was going to look into it and expect a call or email from FMC or the dealer in the next few days. fingers crossed I May be getting somewhere with this.

What is the wording on the £303 invoice?

If it's says 'service/MOT/free gift' £249...then says MOT again below at another £55, that proves that the MOT should have been free.

If you didn't request the total price before having the work done then I'm afraid that is your responsibility rather than theirs.
