do a bit of fault finding. pop your bonnet up and i think the switch for the warning light is by the bonnet release catch. push the plunger up and down,(ie simulating the bonnet closing the switch), does it go out? if so you might be able to adjust the switch. the switch may have water in it causing an open circuit, remove and dry it out slowly then retry the switch. are the electrical cables correctly fitted, check to see if the insulation on the cables is not worn through and shorting (ie illuminating the light). if the switch body is cracked or broken you will need to renew it. hope this helps!
