1.8 Style Focus - Fog Light Question

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

hoping some of you might help, I just bought a 59 plate focus 1.8 style and I want to install fog lights, I was looking at this item:

http://fordshop.netdirector.co.uk/product/Ford_Focus_Fog_light_kit_-_2008_onwards_-_1521230_F1521230-137

do you think it will be easy to install/ can anyone give a quick description on how to do it?

Also little off topic but I was also wondering how to use the Aux connection on the stereo? Can't seem to find the connection :S

Cheers for your help!

i cant help with the fog lights, but with the aux on radio...which model headunit do you have 6000cd with aux button?

if you got the port already fitted, it should be in the glove box at the front, top left.

if its not there, you can buy the cable kit from amazon for around £25 and fit it yourself, it connects easily onto the harness.

Yup typically I missed that bit entirely, just tried it out and works! Thanks mate, much appreciated :D

The fogs should be easy to fit. Fords normally have the wireing in place. The difficult part is going to be getting the blanking plates out of the front bumper. Presumably these are clipped in place and need pushing out from behind. My Focus Style estate came with the fogs already fitted, however I did use a similar kit on a Mk 1 Focus and once that blanking plate was off it was straight forward from there.

Thanks for the advice, I'm guessing to get access to the behind of the blanking plates would have to be reached underneath the car~?

Yes, best way to do it is use a set of ramps! you can then work on it fairly easy!
