We want to hear from members who like the Ford Owners Club

If you do like us then tell us why you like the Ford Owners Club and you will get a complimentary Ford Owners Club Supporters Membership ( as seen here ) free of charge. Yep free! However, we only have 5 to give away, so get posting once you have read the rules.

Here are the Rules:

  • Must have at least 10 words in your reply. If you do not like the club then do not apply :)
  • You must have at least posted 20 times on the club forums.

Good luck, as this is a doddle to do!

Also mods need not apply... LOL you are already included.

I like Ford Owners Club because I have had many fords and before I got my mondeo I used to own a probe which I joined two probe owners clubs (still a member of one of them) but on changing to the mondy felt the need join a non specific Ford club, yes there are a few on the web but I found this Ford Owners Club to be the most helpful and promt with answering any problem posts (mostly radio codes :lol::lol: ) and also as I fix cars and come across a problem I know I can come on here and get the advice I need. I'm looking forward to meeting some members at the Beaulieu meet in May.

Nice one mike.. enjoy your upgraded membership mate :)

Well, I think it's an excellent place to share info, tips and whatnot (like covering the backs of your seats in carpet and the 'secret cubbyhole' for us Fiesta owners). It's an invaluable resource if you have a question to ask e.g. if you have a worry about your car, someone else is bound to know what the problem is...I think sharing these kinds of things helps you to get more enjoyment out of your car and in many cases can prevent trips to the dealers and save you money.

Nice one Steve! :D :D :D

Thank you :D

I really enjoy posting here for many reasons. Its a great environment where you can meet like minded people who all share the same enthusiastic feelings for the Ford (sort of feel a traitor now for considering kia!).

Its great when you can come on and ask a simple question and get so many detailed answers from people who have done / suffered the same problem and found an easy resolution, or where you can investigate some more detailed problems, and get a collective opinion and share the information.

Half of the things I have learned about my car came from here, and from the knowledge of those younger, and older (and wiser on both parts) and that has saved me a fair amount of money over the last year or so!

Some people (like me) spend a lot of time on these forums, and you can get an answer very quickly to some very unusual questions. From some straight simple queries to some very bizarre conundrums...

If it wasnt for this forum (genuinely) I would have spent a lot more money with Ford, because I would have relied very heavily indeed on the computer at the dealer, and I wouldnt have had a clue. I would like to thank especially the "Focus Trip Computer Trick" thread, posted to the top of the Focus Forums - Without you I most likely would have lost all sanity, and probably traded the focus in. This came in very handy when the likes of the Fuel Filter and the Battery died. Both gave no textbook definitions of the problem, and even had Ford scratching there heads when I called and spoke to them (so much cheaper to pay the phone bill than to hook it up to the PC! lol)

Its great that you can come here and get advice from people who are mechanics, and others who are your average Guys / "Gals", who have learned from experience and are more than happy to share that experience with others.

So I would like to thank everyone who visits and posts, offers advice, and like me spends so much time on these forums trying to offer some words of wisdom to those who are facing some very perculiar issues. Thanks to anyone who has helped me out in my dire hour of need, and although I may be going to the dark side soon, I will still be an avid member here, as I know many members have long traded in there Ford, and still do!

excelentey! ;) ;)

I am or have been a member of numerous forums across the ‘inter web’ and I find FOC one of the better, more friendly and helpful sites. Advice is given freely and in general fairly quickly and there are often some very useful links posted up.

I have noticed members willing to help each other out not just on the boards but occasionally offer ‘real help’ to fit this or that to member’s cars. Disputes do happen but hey! life is real, but the moderation team do a good job at stepping in if things get out of hand.

On the negative side, I do find the advert below the first post in every thread a little annoying but knowing and being able to understand that these help towards the cost of running such forums and so enable ‘free membership’ I think it’s a small price to pay.

Would I recommend Ford Owners Club to others? – Without a doubt. B)

I think the Forum is ace for many reasons,

Its a fantastic place to have a general car/ford chat, wether it be about problems, praising or modifying in some way!

Theres always plenty of people online to answer any questions almost immediately, which is obviously a sign that people enjoy coming on here, otherwise no one would post.

Over time there are plenty of opportunities to go to meets, i.e. Simply ford approaching, and others that have been added before and after.

On the whole most the members are friendly and helpful, theres 1 or 2 who have been "less than helpful" but they have just disappeared.

Overall i burn many of my hours away reading/posting on here, so the sites doing something right!
