Removing Plastic Lining On Tailgate

Hi All,

The description of the car is on the left. I want to remove the plastic trim o the inside of the tailgate. I have undone the two torx screws where you put your hands to close the tailgate but it is not comig off. Are there other screws to undo? I am worried that if i wiggle with the plastic trim excessively something might break.

There should be 4 plastic lugs on the inside boot part of the plastic trim.I used a screw driver to get them out..Be careful they do need a bit of force and they ping off when they come out

On my old car (a MK2 1.8 TDCI) once those 2 torque screw were undone, you just had to pull the trim quite hard and it comes off in once piece. See: http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11292&view=findpost&p=90640
