What You Don't Like?

Featured Replies

I had drive test yesterday for the 1.6 petrol Ford Focus. I kind of like the car overall, but there is something that I don't get...could be the back or tail lights...still have to figure it out :)

What about you guys? What you don't like in the new Ford Focus?

Well after seeing umpteen reviews of the car i suppose with all the technology thats in the Titanium x model, has it been tried and tested enough? With all the electronics going on there's bound to be problems and many recalls.

Well, my biggest confusion comes from the exterior design. Inside everything looks well balanced.

But something is strange with the back of the car, at least in my opinion.

For me, Fiesta looks better :D

I don't like the fact that although the US gets My Ford Touch from the launch date, we have to wait until this Autumn, or even possibly next year.

We are obviously so less deserving than our American cousins..........so I'm going to be less deserving of Ford, and keep my money until the UK models have it.

And.......just to rub it in, I'm told by my Son, who attended, that at the NEC Gadget Show last weekend, a couple of Yanks were showing off a working My Ford Touch cockpit,

which they've got......and we haven't !

Wizz, your car looks mint.Love the alloys.

Same here, I don't like the rear lights, I think they look very dopey from the rear. The US sedan's rear end looks much better.

I don't mind the front but I thought it could have looked sharper - it just didn't make the impact on me that the new fiesta did went it was lauched.

Theres no real wow factor on the outside of the new focus - I think its the interior and the many many many gadgets that impress me.

Having said that I do like the look of the white and dark grey titanium hatches, but they could have been even better with a bit of fiesta inspired design.

:)

The price, but that said I'm a bit of a tight !Removed!.

But in the vain of the thread, I must admit when I saw the first Foci, the Mk1, I was not sure I liked it. Because it was so different from anything out there I guess, and especially the Escort which it replaced. But then I grew to love the shape, funny old world, and lets face it the drive was superb.

So possibly the same will happen with the Mk3, first impression not happy how the rear light clusters intrude into the rear side panels, but I dare say it will grow on me. Angles wise the rear does have a bit of an estate shape to it, and that I admit is growing on me. Front I can live with, but I don't like that cut out of the bonnet around the blue oval.

But the biggest No No for me is that the boot space is small in comparison to the Mk2/2.5. OK they have given the rear passengers more leg room. But nobody ever complained of the lack of leg room in the Mk2. And the decent boot space of the Mk2/2.5 made it a more versatile choice when looking for a one car fits all family motor. Four of you going on your jollies, where does the luggage go?

All that said, would I buy one yes, because there is only the wife and I who use the car for our jollies. Yes we would go on holiday with the three grandchildren, and their parents, but in convoy so to speak, with possibly the older sane one ridding with us. :D .........are we there yet!
