Oil Light Flashin

Featured Replies

hi guys back again,,,when my car seems to have warmed up and i'm sat in traffic whilst idling my oil light some times flashes but as soon as i increase the revs it stops,.,. i checked the oil to se if there was oil in and there seems to be more in than they should be,, (not alot but she's over the max) it's focus 2002 1.8 TDCI could this be because there is to much or is this another problem

A few reasons/causes

1 wrong grade oil (thinning down to much when hot)

2 oil filter needs changing

3 oil pump on it's way out

4 faulty switch

First thing I would try is an oil and filter change, then if that dont work try a new switch, then if that dont work start paniking as it will be the oil pump. £££££
