im new to the site, as i have just bought a focus tdci( i own a holden):)... anyway my 03 tdci focus is misfiring and wont idle, it also emits smoke from the dipstick, please help!! thank you..

    this could be a blockage in the pcv (positive crankcase ventilation) check the rubber hoses, or worst case senario it could be a blown head gasket check on the oil filler cap for any signs of a cottage cheese substance build up. it sounds like moistuer is getting into the engine causing the smoke.
