Featured Replies

2012 Fiesta ST

What do you guys think? Can't make my mind up if this is official or not. Notice the rear disk brakes.

Looks nice...let's see when they launch it...

Hmmm i think think this fez has been on a collision course with darth vadar............?

In my opinion, it will only matter how much it costs and if there is a substantial gain (power, equipments etc) compared to the 1.6...

Ford aint stupid, the ST wont look like that. That car above is a standard Fiesta with out the side skirts. They are just testing the engine and suspension, not how the car will look ;)

But i wouldn't trust Auto Express fully on this story, they have a histroy of making up stories and pictures

Yeh I agree. Found some other pics which I think are more likely to show what the new ST will look like:

Be interesting to see what this car is like when it comes out. I'm looking for some new options/toys to be available too like xenons, ford sync and maybe a panoramic roof option.

Plausible, I believe the ST has been officially confirmed now? And car manufacturers do like to test their cars handling round that track. It has a front mounted intercooler, which would suggest a turbo. Rear disc brakes, and the suspension is lower than a standard zetec s (or the wheels are bigger) Also, who would do that to the front of their fiesta? Tell tale signs of a new car going through it's last few tests? The ST won't look exactly like this, ford just don't want to ruin the suprise!

EDIT: on the 4th picture, is that a twin exhaust or am I just seeing things?

Yes they are twin pipes on the fourth photo. This is really how the twin pipes on the petrol Zetec S should be presented. It's such a waste to have them hidden away!

Finally! The real Fiesta ST rears its mini Focus ST head. Shame I've got no interest in getting one really.

LOL auto express and you lot believed it :P hahaha search fiesta st auto express on google... comes back with so much rubbish it is unbelievable, last year they claimed ford were bringing out a high riding 4x4 model of the fiesta

and look closely at the side on picture... why the heck would a car that ford sell have a roll cage in it?! its yet again someone who fitted a intercooler (very easy to do) them selves and messed about with the car IMO

I can't wate for the new st!! I am defo buying one. I looks exelent twin rs exhausts would go down a treat.

and to prove my point about auto express...

it might be true that one... but when and only when, a reliable mag comes out with it, either that or ford... then well i will believe it

There was this article about the MK7 ST on it's way, and auto-car is pretty reliable, this was when I started believing it.

Ford would fit a roll cage for serious testing round the 'ring. If they're only testing mechanical bits adding a cage wouldn't matter, but would help if someone lost control and went into the barriers at 100mph!

Doesn't mean it's definitely a Ford test car or not, but the new Focus ST style nose wouldn't be a surprise on a Fiesta ST.

It's almost definately the new ST.

Who would go to all the effort and expense of making a minature 2012 Focus ST front grille, fitting it to their Fez and then covering it in dodgy black camo? The roll cage is just a safety thing during intial testing.

As above, its Ford testing the front end of the car,the engine, the suspension and the brakes. The roll cage is there for saftey, last thing ford would want while blasting around the ring would be an accident that led to someones death. I didnt think they would make a grill like that for the new ST but now ive seen it it does make sense as like said before there all min/maxi versions of each other. I cant tell if its going to look good or not. Its the car im looking out for to buy in the comming years. Will have mine paid off in about 10months so by then ford should have put there cards on the table.

Thanks for posting these guys!
