2006 Fiesta Alarm & Central Locking Problem

Featured Replies

My Alarm has been going off intermittently for a couple of weeks, strangely it keeps going off at 2:30am.

After disarming it last night, I couldn't re-lock the car as it was saying the passenger door was open. It wasn't. In the end had to leave car unlocked over night. Not ideal.

This morning tried it again, after spraying loads of WD40 into the lock. Still no joy. However, once I'd driven to work and tried the lock, it locked.

How easy is it to remove the door panel, to check the internal workings of the central locking?

Is there a way to perform a self diagnostic on the car?

My local Ford dealer wants to charge £130 to diagnose the problem, I think this is excessive!

Would be grateful for any assistance.

Cheers
