Well I have to admit that the horn on my Mk7 sounds only about as loud as Marcel Marceau when he's stubbed his toe!

I have a replacement, which uses a little (lot) more current than the original, so will perhaps have to put a relay in being fed from the fuse box. I'm only guessing here though, the original horn is on a 20A fuse with not much else on it, so I may get away with it just as a direct swap.

I would feel happier having sight of the actual circuit diagram though, is there anyone around who has access to the diagram and who is able to share it?

I actually dont think i have ever used my horn lol, i find giving someone the finger gets my general feelings across a lot better :)

I like giving a small round of applause, smiling and a sarcastic nod to cement it all together ......... priceless

A pointed index finger waved from side to side (like a disapproving teacher) and a slight shake of the head

These always seem to get more of a response than anything else I have tried ......... picture on the other drivers face; even more priceless
