new to the site so hi...bought used 2003 fiesta 1.4tdci zetec few weeks back, it has been back to the garge i purchased it from 2 times as the speedo keeps failing and idling to 0 even when doin 60mph, the cd/radio volume also adjusts itself and mileometer goes to dots when speedo goes. any ideas as about to take garage to court!!



sounds like you need a new speed sensor.

G/F's mums car has the same problem its a 53 plate 1.4tdci finesse. where is the speed sensor located and is it easy and cheap to change.

well the garage i got it from still think its a key code issue!! gonna let them suffer and try everything as the car is nacked! garage said a new clutch was fitted a while back that is why there is a fog horn noise from engine when pulling away in first gear!!!! is he right or fobbing me off..
