Got into my car the other week and it would not start. I thought it was the starter motor as it would not turn (seemed dead). Battery is a few months old so ruled that out.

I tried to bump start it and no luck, seemed like it was not firing.

After a while I tried starting again and it started. When I got home switched it off and tried starting it, Again starter would not turn.

I noticed that the led by the clock was flashing quite fast.

It has since been happening more and more, and if I wait with the keys in the ignition at some point the led stops flashing and the car starts.

Is there a common fault that I can check? Is there a sensor in the steering rack that I can check?
