What Can I Do To My Car ? Ford Fiesta 1.4Tdci

Featured Replies

hi guys/ girl,

i am looking to see what i can do to my car, its a 1.4tdci ford fiesta 2006.

i have my eyes on some alloys for it. but i am want to see if i could put some sort of sorts exhaust so i carnt hear the diesel engine that much, (i am 17 and want to hear a nice noise when i drive nothing to loud). thanks and any other suggestions for what i can do to it would be nice. i might take some pics of it tomorrow to show you guyes it :)

thanks Nathan

The more of an exhaust you put on the more you will amplify the noise im afraid. Plus if its the "diesel" noise you want to get rid of, the problem is that its emitted from the engine bay, the noise will rattle through to the cabin, so trying to dampen the "diesel" noise will be very difficult...

thanks for letting me know, looks like i will just have to get a good sound system ;)

A good set of alloys will help change the appearance of any car, just make sure they suit the car as the wrong set will not help the looks.

You can buy exhausts for diesel engine cars (not sure about your model) that does help the car sound ‘sporty’, but as Jeeb has said a diesel engine will always sound like a diesel, so think less of the noise and more of the sound of money you save on mpg.

If it helps and you're not sure how the wheels look on your car, stick a picture of your car and the wheels up on here and I or someone will photoshop them together for you. :)
