Bob658
Hi. Can someone help me please. I recently bought a 1995 mk3 Fiesta but it came with only one key ( a red one). Unfortunately the key seems to be worn and stopped operating the tailgate and now it won't operate the ignition. I'm told that the key contains a chip which means if I change the ignition lock it won't start the engine. Is this true? If it is, if I replace the the locks can I get a new key cut that fits the new locks but would be coded with the information from the red key?
