I have just placed an order for my new (company) car - a Zetec S TDCi with the following options; leather, bluetooth, keyless and the interior pack 1. I have have been given an estimated delivery date of 30th September, which is ages away! I had to finally give up my 325ti and opt into the car scheme due to the ever increasing costs of running your own car, especially when doing 20k pplus per year.

I was just wondering what you guys have experienced in terms of delivery times for your cars.

I assume that it is the leather that is slowing the manufacture down.

It maybe the leather but its also because they just switched to a 12 model year and its a diesel

I ordered leather and my delivery time was 8-10 weeks, it arrived after about 7 weeks though.

I ordered my zetec s on 25/5/11 and have been given a pick up date of 06/8/11. My delay was just because of the spec I wanted and that they will be building cars for the updated September model

I'm hoping that like Steve's car mine may turn up a little early. The end of September seems like ages away....and patience isn't one of my strong points!
