Driver Awareness Courses

Featured Replies

Has anyone been on the driving awareness course? Was the driving awareness course beneficial or a waste of time?

Not been on one, the idea is good, if you slip up and get caught speeding, its either £60 and 3 points, or around £150 - £200 for the awareness course. OK its more expensive, but no points on your license will be good, as it will save your insurance premium, so you could save money but take a whack in one go.

The downside, if you get caught doing something naughty again within three years, you have wasted £200 as you get your original points and fine, as well as your new offence points and fine.

Good if you slip up once and are otherwise a "perfect" driver, bad if your prone to slip up again.

it will be interesting to see what is covered on these courses...
