Hi everyone!!!

I got new Ford Fiesta 'bout 5 months ago. I have central locking but no remote though. The key that I have is just ....a simple key ,not folding, no buttons or whatever. I bought car that way from Ford dealer. The question is ...Do all new Fiesta's have remote module built in and it's just a key you need to buy or you would need remote CL module to build in as well. How do I check if I have remote module built in ??? What would be the cost ? .....and finally is it better maybe to put an aftermarket remote central locking or alarm like Clifford, Python...etc any suggestions. How hard it is to fit one and is it worth it. I heard that you need to remove dashboard or so and that you need some kind of special interface ?!?!?!? Anyone PLEASE???

    Strange... I didn't think any of the new fiesta's DIDNT come with the key for remote central locking.

    Could be wrong though <_<

    I had a plain rectangular key come as my spare. Did you get two keys with your car or just one?

    Sounds like the main flip key has gone missing

    Go to a dealer, probably about £120 to programme it providing you provide the key

    I got two plain rectangular keys and a number in case I lose one of them. Regarding remote CL, I assumed it was included in the price and I overlooked the list of features I got where it says Central locking not remote central locking. Bit of a disappointment 'cause I was convinced I'm getting one. I did checked VIN on etis.ford.com and on the list of features it says "less door remote unit entry " meaning ?????remote or complete system (module etc.)?

    I'm only going by memory here, but I think one of either the Studio or Edge models in the UK don't have remote locking. I don't know whether or not the car has the remote sensors and a different key is all that's needed. Regarding the keys, a while ago you used to get one flip and one other nonflip remote, but this then changed to two flips as standard.
