Featured Replies

from memory the last one was a hundred odd quid, and was an around 20 point check... will the second be the same??? i jst gone over the recommended mileage for it but have just renewed road tax and got insurance up in less than 10 days now... sooo finally to the question how much should it cost??? want to get it done soon (my last one was 5k miles over-due) just think insurance is more important atm to make sure i can pay it!

*Your dealer has. Shop around if you're not happy with their price!

2nd shopping around.

For information around the Bath/Radstock area.

Allen Ford was the cheapest at £125 where as my main dealer, Foray motor group wanted £180 and Brunel Ford in Bristol wanted £190.

Definatly ring around and ask I even managed to get a free years roadside cover.

My service costs:

1st: £102.31

2nd: £137.14 (only difference was the odour filter was changed)

3rd: £292.18 (includes new brake pads and sparkplugs)

Small Ford dealer in Pinwall, Warwickshire - Smith Garage

New brake pads at 37,500? My MK6.5 lasted 65,000 and I'd hope for the same on this car...

Yup - 37.5K - and that's what I'd expect from pads. I'd hope to get 65K from the discs, but not the pads.

I changed the pads when I had my 2006 Fiesta at 65k, they were't quite at minimum but almost - discs still had a long way to go. I'd owned the car since 19k and I'm pretty sure they weren't changed by 1st owner.

Or if you're lucky enough to work for a dealer (like I was) I have about 8 service kits for my Fiesta so it'll only cost me labour..and even that wont cost much as I'm still friends with the mechanics there :D

Won't be going back.

You people must all live in cheaper areas :P. My first service on Friday is £169, second is £189 so I reckon Mordey and I both use(d) the same chain .
