Cv Joint Grease

Featured Replies

Hi everyone i've just bought cv joint grease. Now opening the tin i thought the grease was meant to be like a green colour but this one i bought is like a dark grey colour is this right.

Will this be ok.

Thanks alan.

will be fine mate once it's thick grease its all the same, make sure your seals are tight on the clamps as its brutal stuff to try and wash off your wheels,B)

recommend robbing the rubber gloves from the kitchen for this job.

No problem mate,

my experience with a CV joint was when I had my first car a 97 Toyota Starlet see Below

I had only fitted my shiny 15inch Wolf Race street Octane deep dish alloys and driving down the road,

pull in at a petrol station and there's CV Joint Grease splattered all over the chrome lip and in the spokes of the front driver's side wheel,

The CV boot had split and my knuckles were cut off me trying to clean the rim as i was only using hot water and a chammy as I was afraid I would lift

or scratch the chrome, spent 8000 euro modifying that car, now I cringe looking at the pictures  was my first car though.

Lenny, nice car for a first! It looks really sweet to me :D

Sorry to hijack the thread anyway lol

Alan, just realised you asked a question the other day about a knocking you were experiencing, has it turned out to be a leaky CV joint??
