Fiesta Mk5 Exhaust Blowing

Featured Replies

Hey all,

Noticed there's a slight exhaust blow on my Fiesta. I think it's the rear silencer but not entirely sure.

Is it possible to replace my exhaust in sections? If it's the silencer I'd rather just replace this part. If not, how hard is it to replace the whole exhaust from cat back? I've had a look on eBay and I can grab a whole kit from the cat back for like £100 which seems a fair price...

I need to do my tyres too - bloomin' cars :) lol.

Thanks in advance for assistance,

Dan

Hi Sophie, that's cool thansk for the information. I will get underneath my car at some point to check to see where the leak is acutally coming from. If it's a small hole I'll just get my welding mate to whack some weld over it to seal it.

Will keep you in mind if I need to replace the whole exhaust though, thanks! :)

Hi Dan

That's cool - fingers crossed it's just something small and easily fixed then. Good to have a handy mate!

best wishes

Hi Sophie, found the culprit. I've got a little hole near the rear silencer - so will get my mate to put a spot of weld over it. I think my silencer may be on its way out too but there's no way to be sure until I get the hole fixed. If there's still a problem I will be in touch for a new rear silencer. I visited your website too, some interesting stuff. Glad there's somewhere specialising in the classic Fords :D.

Cheers,

Dan
