Intermittent Vibration

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Hoping someone out there can help with my problem.

The issue/problem:

Every now and then I get a strange vibration that can be felt through the drivers foot well and any of the foot pedals (Accelerator, brake & clutch), when the vibration happens it produces low pitch hum which can be heard throuhout the cabin over the stereo at level 10.

At first i thought this problem was due to road surface as it appeared to happen in roughly the same place everytime, but recently the road has been re-surfaced and the problem still persists. It has also started happening on other roads as well.

The car

1.6 TDCi 95

Titanium

Reg year 2010

Mileage 12,500

1st year service complete

Any help and suggestions on this matter would be appreciated

This was what I had in the 09 fiesta I just had rejected. I also had it through the steering wheel though. In mine it was the drive shaft.

Hope this helps.

I get the exact same thing in my Titanium..at first I thought it was the brakes dragging or rubbing, but took it into Ford and of course they found nothing wrong with and like you said seems to start happening more and more..mines only done 5500 miles too

They claimed it was just balancing on mine twice and ignored me saying it was more serious until the third time it went in. By this point they were too late and I just rejected the car would've had it fixed but the fuel consumption was a nightmare so i took my opportunity to get rid of it.
