Hi Iam New

Featured Replies

hi I am new and In great need of help long story I use a mechanic (as I could not put a bolt in a monkeys mouth)who has been great up to now. only recently He fitted a timing belt ,water pump ,fan belt and new tensioner.Unfortunatly the new tensioner was faulty and snapped the belt as you can imagine all sorts of damage occured. but being a good guy he repaired the problems and gave me the car back last night it sounded ok if a little tappy. this morning though the idle speed was not quite right and after 15 mins driving when slowing down it sounded like a fish was getting slapped about the engine altough this went away after 2 mins I am not 2 happy and will give the car back tonight with the probs explained but not being mechanical I feel that I can be flanneled .This was the best wee car I have ever had I dont want to lose it and cant afford to replace it.

hi dezwez thanks

Welcome to FOC

I'd repost this into the section of the forum for what model of car you have. More people will see it there and there'll be a better chance a mechanically minded member will help you.

Hope the problems sorted soon.
