Hi, I was wondering if someone might be able to help me with a few questions.

I bought a new Ford Fiesta Titanium 1.4L in May. I seem to be having difficulty starting the car, especially when I have not been using it for a couple of days or more. I have the push-button start, so when I push the start button I hear the engine making noises but the car won't start. I usually get it going by the 3rd or 4th attempt, and then it's fine for the rest of the day.

I have a few questions:

1. I'm not a particularly car minded person ! What kind of things might be causing this problem?

2. As I only bought the car in May I would have thought repairs would come under it's guarantee. To be honest, when I bought the car the dealership didn't really say a lot about servicing and what happens in the event that things go wrong with the car! Do I just take it to my nearest Ford garage? Will they repair it for free?

I'd book an appointment with the dealership and have it checked out, just explain your problem by phone and they should get you booked in. It shouldn't cost you a thing if you bought it brand new and it hasn't reached it's first year yet.

P.S. My Barnstaple dealership have given me a free courtesy car when i sent mine in for a stalling issue a couple of months ago.
