Head Light Failure, Help!

Featured Replies

I have a 2007 1.4 tdci fiesta zetec, the headlights are aimed to the floor like its on the lowest setting which its not its on 0 which is the highest, i drove to work this morning and the fog lights point out further into the road than the headlights and the level switch isnt working? Also when i unlock the car there is a noise coming from both headlights like they are trying to set themselves, any advice would be greatly appreciated as its quite hard to drive only being able to see a metre infront of the car. Thanks

Hey Dannyboy!

Sounds like the headlight levellers have fallen out of their sockets somehow. I had this happen to a headlight on the Focus once. If you're happy to take the headlights out and have a good look yourself, carry on, and try and get em back in.... of not, take them to someone who is confident with it.

It'll be a straight forward but fiddly job.

Just to make things nice and tricky, since this post the o/s headlight has seemed to have set its self back but the n/s is still pointing to the floor and i took the unit out yesterday and if the leveller is what i think it is there is going to be a few cut fingers and choice words.

82? Bit more frail than me ;)
