Hello all,

I am taking part in the Bupa Manchester 10k Run on 17th May 2009. I have chosen to do the run for charity and have chosen Help for Heroes as my charity. If you’re not sure what this charity is for please see here http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/

I have set myself a target of £300 to raise and hope that I haven’t overestimated. This is my first time running in a road race and to date the furthest I have ever ran is 3 miles and so it will be a challenge but one I am looking forward to. I have set myself a target of 50 minutes for the 10k (6.2 miles), which is an average of 8 minute miles.
