Esp Light Stays On Dtc Code #01 A895

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Today when turning the car on the ESP light stays on. The car is handling and braking normal.

Checked the DTC code and there is one: DTC #01 A895

Does anyone know what this means?

Thanks

Forgot to say I have a 2008 facelift 1.8 TDCI TITANIUM.

Error A895 could be "Trip Computer Mode Switch Circuit Failure"

- See the linked page ... << click me >>

The error also seems to show up a lot with error D900 accompanying it (D900 could be 'CAN Communication Bus Fault')

- See links

--- << click me >> << Internal site link

As is suggested on the last link, it may be worth resetting the codes and see if any return

What do those faults suggest? Anything serious?

How do I reset the codes and would that make the ESP light turn off if it is reset successfully ?

Simba, you could buy a DTC / OBDII Code reader with a code reset facility. you would need to plug it into the OBDII port to the right hand side of the steering column (just where the coin scully is) and then press the reset code button.

Either that or face the wrath of your dealers bill for the privelage!
