Horn And Electric Seat Blown Fuse

Featured Replies

The number 34 (7.5 amp) fuse keeps blowing when I use the electric seat (don't use it now) any ideas where the fault could lie? The horn works fine with a working fuse so the fault lies somewhere with the seat!

Thanks

James

This might do better in the Focus forum...

Sounds to me like you could have a short out. you may want to check for earthing points.

Have you swapped the relays around and tested? see if the fault stays or follows the relay?

Sorry iNath, working off the iPhone page and it's quite tricky to work around!

Jeebowhite, yeah I'm thinking a loose wire or shortage somewhere! The horn still works and I haven't touched the chair yet so I'm sure the fault lies in that area. I will test it again when the weather is more favourable but thanks for the tips!
