On 23rd December (bad time) my drivers electric front window would not go up.

Ford could not repair it until new year but local AA autocentre said that if it was the cable broken they would do it Xmas eve. Cable was replaced but a plastic casing on the window gear work was badly cracked, it was glued. After taking the car away it lasted 20 minutes then broke again.

This plastic casing comes as part of the whole motor and gear assembly, the part will cost me £200.

As anyone else had this problem?, it is strange how such an expensive part, which you only control with a switch, should break.
