Parrot Car Kit Speaker Wiring Issue

Featured Replies

Hey folks,

Tl;dr : parrot car kit doesn't play over all speakers. Need help with possible wiring fixes.

I installed the above parrot into my focus and it went pretty well. All the physical bits are grand, wiring fits and is hidden well.

However, the wiring to the speakers isn't quite right. You can't adjust the volume of anything playing through the speakers with the cars volume, it has to be with the parrot. That's fine and even though I would like to be able to,I understand it's not a feature.

But what is an issue is the fact the audio only comes out of the front left speaker strongly and all the others are barely audible even with your ear up against it.

Every so often the sound jumps to the front left, and sometimes it will stay o. Both speakers, but both of those cases only last a short few seconds and aren't very frequent. This sounds likes dodge wire but trust me, it's not, I've checked everything.

I tried adjusting the fade/balance but nothing happens, as clearly the audio doesn't route through the stereo.

Can anyone help with this? any ideas what wires could be moved etc? There is a large wiring adapter due to the ford radio not being ISO. I also had to wire the connector for the steering wheel controls straight to the radio as the wiring adapter had the space but wasn't wired for it.

Just found this on their site :( Please help!!

PLEASE NOTE: For music streaming please consult your local Certified installer/installation specialist to check the audio system in your vehicle. Due to the variation of some audio systems additional equipment or specialist adaptation may be required in order to stream music in stereo through all of the vehicles speakers.

I'd prefer not to have to go get someone look at it, especially not halfords.

Thanks for any help
