Back in November I made a order for the new titanium & been told it will be on the production line first week in Jan.. I was just wondering how long other people have waited.

This is my first new car so don't actually know the protocol etc. . . :D

Hi,sounds normal to me, however sometimes the time period can be reduced if a unassigned vehicle matching your order becomes available.

Dealers I have had experience with in the past generally quoted 12 weeks for delivery but some manufacturers have been quoting a minimum 20 weeks - Audi, Skoda, VW etc. mainly due to the factory production slowing down with the economic down turn. Honda are only just returning to full production this year for the new Civic.

But as mentioned, if a car is identified as already having a production slot and fits your spec (or if you're prepared to accept differences) then this can be available sooner. Your dealer will always advise you of cars available that are in production or that have a slot - but other dealers also have to opportunity to secure these vehicles so its 'first come, first served'.

If its in the production line first week in January I would say 4 - 6 weeks mate ? Depends what the line rate runs at ?
