Groaning When Pulling Away

Featured Replies

My focus (1.8 petrol 2004) has started making groaning noise as I pull away

from cold. After the car reaches temp then noise is gone. Interestingly it does not do it in reverse.

It sounds as though it is coming from the drivers wheel area I could be

wrong or it could be vibrating possibly form somewhere else masking its true

location.

How do I determine what this sound is or where it is coming from.

Its not the pads clearing the discs as I pull away ita a groan/whine noise.

Any ideas what it could be or how I proceed from here in hunting the likely suspects.

I'm armed with a basica tool kit and a haynes :)

hehehe got the focus on the mind @ 22.31 on new years eve pfft thats car love for you!

Have a good one all! :)
